About Us

Robin Ross is a Retina Specialist/Ophthalmologist practicing in Scottsdale, Arizona at Global Retina Institute. She is one of the co-founders of the non-profit, Red Rover Ventures. She teaches Global Health at the University of Arizona College of Medicine Phoenix. Her photography supports her ophthalmology training in low income countries. Her focus is training existing and new eye doctors in Sub-Saharan Africa. Her current work is in Liberia. Liberia has the least number of physicians in the world and was one of the three major countries impacted by the Ebola virus epidemic. She is fundraising to purchase the package of three VR Magic virtual reality ophthalmic simulators ($USD 375,000)  to train ophthalmic surgeons in low income countries https://youtu.be/Y2SwD0v02NA

Robin Martini is a Designer and macro photographer interested in natural images that inspire her designs. She is Executive Director of the non-profit and works with artisans in low income countries.  Her work has shown that artisan development has provided economic well-being that allows artists to live longer but as they age, they develop vision problems that require care but guess what, there are no eye doctors.  She runs the gallery store which hosts artisan products from 37 countries and acts as a waiting room at Global Retina Institute.
